Captain Andy flies to the Hilton RAK

Good morning everyone, Captain Andy here and today I had the privilege of flying over the beautiful blue of the Arabian coastline to Ras Al Khaimah.

 We started off quite early and as we walked down the ramp shivering in the cold winter air, I had a small stab of pride when I looked at Seawings seaplane Charlie, our designated vessel of travel for the day.

With one of the smoothest taxis I have had in a long time, Charlie soared into the bright sunshine and began making way to Ras Al Khaimah. All 6 passengers onboard (a family of four and a young couple) were immediately squealing in delight at the views from up above and took out a bunch of cameras which did not go out of sight till we landed.

Flying over the incredible sight of the Hajar mountains, we were all struck dumb a little (even me) over how majestic these natural marvels are. With a smooth flight passing the deep brown camel tracks where we saw a few race camels in training, I turned Charlie at the Ras Al Khaimah Hilton Beach Resort for an equally smooth landing on the waters of their pearly white beach.

Happy to get a chance to jump straight in the water, the two young boys onboard leapt into the water as soon as the doors were opened and splashed towards the shore.

An easy ride, it’s always great to see happy people getting off the Seawings airplane. I’m definitely looking forward to my next flight!
